On Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, TGIM (Thank Goodness for Indie Mondays) welcomed more indie films, fun and music in Fort Myers, Fla. at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center.
While there, one could enjoy indie films in consideration for the upcoming 2013 Fort Myers Film Festival (FMff).
At this TGIM, guests could also enjoy intellectualization with amazing judges.
The judges were Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau Laura Chmielewski, Artist Marcus Jansen and Lia Martino.
The evening's host was Eric Raddatz with co-host Melissa DeHaven. The musical guest was Phillip Gonzales.
There was also a two minute soapbox from local film hero Doug Malloy.
TGIM is usually held every Monday night. The series will continue through Feb. 25, 2013. They will continue to show films in consideration for their festival.
At these Monday night intellectualizations the audience and celebrity judges are able to weigh in on submitted films in preparing for the festival's third annual event that will be held March 21-24, 2013.
"Step aside Sundance, Cannes and Toronto as the Fort Myers Film Festival's third annual festival will be held March 20-24, 2013 at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, Alliance for the Arts and Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre.
There will be parties at Twisted Vine Bistro and Edison Restaurant, and the Black Tie Red Carpet Gala will be celebrated with excitement and style March 20, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall." - FMff
Tickets are $19 and $99 for a VIP star-studded backstage after-party with the stars of the opening night's films, music, dancing and open bar. There will also be a chance to meet the stars and filmmakers of the evening's film.
