In cities, counties and states throughout the United States authorities have set up the system of “911” to call out for emergencies. The use of this is for real emergency situations. Some people just don’t get it and make calls to 911 just like this woman from Texas.

Evelyn Hamilton who happens to be a resident of Lufkin, Texas is thirty-seven years old who would up getting herself arrested on Friday after making a purchase of marijuana from a local dealer. According to news reported from the Huffington Post on April 7 the Lufkin police responded to her residence after she made a call to 911 complaining that her purchase was not satisfactory!

When Sgt. David Casper arrived at her home to hear her complaint which he knew in advance was not a proper reason for dialing 911 in the first place he was told the merchandise was substandard and her dealer refused to refund her money. It seems her $40 purchase consisted of basically seeds and not what she was expecting to have received.

Why she didn’t inspect the product before purchasing it is unknown. That might have saved her in the long run. No one knows for sure if Hamilton was under the influence of the drug or not when she made the purchase or when she made the call to 911.

The police officer asked her if she still had some of the product left and she produced it in front of him. Maybe she was hoping he would be able to rectify the situation with her dealer. This was definitely not the case. Officer Casper then arrested Evelyn Hamilton with possession of the drug, marijuana, which is considered a Class B misdemeanor in the state of Texas. If the amount she had in her possession consisted of less than or up to two ounces the offense is punishable up to 180 days in prison and a fine that wouldn’t exceed $2,000. This is not the answer to the question she posed when she made the 911 call.

When will people learn that calling 911 is for real emergencies and nothing else!
