Texas woman arrested for pretending to be 15-years-old at a Christian school

According to the Huffington Post on Thursday, a 31-year-old Texas woman is being accused of posing as a 15-year-old high school student for nearly an entire school year at New Life Christian School, Longeview, TX, until her identify was revealed. Charity Anne Johnson deceived the district and the woman that took her in to live with her.

This is truly a strange story, because what would Johnson have to gain. Apparently she wanted to relive her high school days as a 15-year-old sophomore student. In the photo, Johnson does not look like a typical 15 year old. So then how could she fool the family who took her in to believe she was 16 years younger than she really is?

Johnson's story line to Tamica Lincoln was that she had been abused by her biological father and was basically homeless, because she said he had passed away. In addition, her identifying records showed that she was who she said she was:

A spokesperson for the school said Johnson was brought in to enroll with a person who was her guardian. She enrolled in the school, giving a date of birth that indicated she was 15. On Tuesday, staff at the school discovered her identification was fake. She had been a student there since October 2013.

Lincoln said, "I sympathized with her and invited her into my home." Lincoln became suspicious and sought the authorities. After learning of this devastating news on Tuesday, Lincoln, the school district and students were distraught. The students were crying in response to the news. Even Charity's 23-year-old boyfriend was fooled by her.

Looks as if Charity chose a Christian school (people) to prey on intentionally. Think about it, her name is "Charity," or is it really? The Church is a compassionate institute that seeks to help people in need. People that are disingenuous as Johnson, put a bad taste in the mouth of charitable organizations.

I John 4:1 says, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Even though Johnson has not admitted to being a prophet, her presentation was questionable.

Police say Charity Stevens is the name the accused individual gave them. Johnson was arrested on charges including failure to identify/giving false, fictitious information.

New Life Christian School will never be the same again!
