Texas Twitter Tuesday – May 3

Texas Twitter Tuesday is on May 3 this month. Join Katy Jane Bothum, executive director of the Texas Hill Country Wineries, and the folks at GoTexan (and many other Texas wine lovers) for a Twitter chat and tasting.

Texas Hill Country Wineries is a group of twenty-seven wineries in Central Texas that organize five wine trails throughout the year. During the wine trails, visitors can enjoy Texas Hill Country artists, musicians, crafters, chefs, and entertainers at the wineries.

Follow Katy Jane Bothum on Twitter @TexasWineTrail for the lastest information on the Texas Hill Country Wineries or go to the web site for details.

Part of the fun of Texas Twitter Tuesday – besides the chatting – is the tasting. This month, pick up one or more of these three wines from Texas Hill Country Wineries.

  • Bending Branch Winery Tannat – a red grape with bold fruit flavor. It costs about $26. Bending Branch Winery is located outside Comfort.
  • Dry Comal Creek Vineyards 2009 Black Spanish – a Texas native grape with a deep garnet hue and floral and tobacco aromas. It costs about $28. Dry Comal Creek Vineyards is located near New Braunfels.
  • Becker Vineyards 2010 Viognier - a white wine with peach and floral scents and tangerine and mango flavors. It costs about $15. Becker Vineyards is located in Stonewall.

To participate in Texas Twitter Tuesday, log in to Twitter (free to sign up) and go to the GoTexan TweetChat room. No registration or RSVP is required. Just show up at 7 p.m. on May 3, 2011 and join the discussion.
