Two teens stopped to admire a woman in the car next to them and realized that she was calling for help.
Jamal Harris, 17, and 19-year-old Aaron Arias stopped at a red light in Seagoville, Texas and looked at the car next to them to find an attractive woman in the back seat.
According to NBC News on Thursday, the 25-year-old subject of their attention mouthed “help me” to the two.
Arias took the hint and called police while they followed the car.
"It's me and another guy, so we're checking out the girl in the backseat because, we're like, 'OK, she's kind of attractive,'" Arias said in the report. "And then, all of the sudden, you know, the guy is turned back, looking at us."
The woman’s Lexus had been allegedly hijacked hour earlier by Charles Atkins Lewis Jr, after she left an office party and she was kidnapped in the process.
The young men stayed on the phone with dispatchers as the car sped away with the woman inside.
The woman was removed from the car and quickly gave Arias and Harris a hug.
"I would describe it as the best hug I have ever gotten," Arias said to reporters.
Medical professionals determined that the woman was unhurt.
