Two teens were just minding their own business when they unexpectedly came across a woman, sitting in the backseat of a car that was trying to quietly tell them she needed help.
Aaron Arias, 19, said that he was checking out the blonde woman in the backseat and realized she was mouthing the words, "help me," reports ABC News.
Arias and his friend Jamal Harris, 17, began following the car on Highway 185 in Texas for miles while on the phone with a 911 operator.
"Yes, I'm on the highway and I am witnessing a kidnapping," said Arias that was reported what he believed was a kidnapping.
When the police caught up to them, they pulled over Charles Atkins Lewis, 37, and found the woman in the backseat that had been forced into Lewis' car by gunpoint as she was leaving work.
Lewis was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping and the young woman was checked by paramedics and then released.
What is even more remarkable is that these teens didn't ignore the woman or shrug it off as a joke, as many others may have innocently done.
