Texas teacher suspended after emptying pencil shavings into boy's mouth

A Texas teacher has returned to her classroom after being suspended for dumping pencil shavings into a student’s mouth.

13-year-old Marquis Jay, an eighth grader at Boles Jr. High School in Arlington, explained to CBS 11 News that he was sitting down with his head back in January.

Strangely, his mouth was open. Therefore, when the teacher strolled by his desk, and noticed Jay, she allegedly poured the shavings in his mouth.

Now his mother, Deidre Brown, wants the teacher to be fired. “I don’t even think she should be teaching if she can’t have the patience to not know that’s not something she is not supposed to do,” Brown said to CBS 11.

According to Jay, the teacher did apologize to him after being suspended. She also supposedly told him she was not thinking right.

“The school said it took appropriate disciplinary action.”
