In Rosenberg, Texas, a dog named Pippa was brought in as a stray. Someone had ripped away her puppies and abandoned her; Pippa was still lactating.

Pippa has been listed as extremely sweet. On her Facebook thread, a volunteer writes:

"Pets at Ft. Bend Animal Control Linda Broze Stavinoha YES! She went into the cat room and she showed no interest in them, she was actually a little afraid."

Pippa has also been around children.

Learn more about Pippa by clicking on Pets at Ft. Bend Animal Control, a volunteer page for a shelter with an 84% euthanasia rate.

Please share Pippa's story with your friends, coworkers, and family members. Why shop for a dog when you can adopt a beautiful new friend from a shelter.

Three to four million dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters every year. Please don't let Pippa be part of the tragic statistics.

The Shelter is located at:
1210 Blume Rd

The shelter phone number is (281)-342-1512
