Bay Area Pet Adoptions is the only no-kill facility in Galveston County, Texas, and they are at risk of closing their doors.
On Wednesday, the rescue organization issued a desperate plea to their fans on Facebook:
We need your help!
We need money to pay the bills!
We need you to spread the word about our No-Kill shelter!
On the rescue organization's website, is a warning that the shelter will have to close soon if more donations are not received to help with the operating costs.
The shelter stated:
As the only No-Kill in the area, so many dogs and cats need us in order for them to stay alive. Plus, we fully vet every one of them we take in - an important aspect of what we do. Please remind people that we are not you average shelter just because we are No-Kill; besides not euthanizing for space, we fully vet and socialize our dogs and cats EVERY day, we are clean, and very proactive in finding them their forever homes.
Please take a moment to network on behalf of this rescue agency which is struggling to care for the dogs and cats who are currently in their care. If the doors close, precious lives may be lost.
