A Houston, Texas man who allegedly tried to choke his roommate's dog, is dead.
According to Thursday's CBS Houston News, the victim, described as a 21-year-old man, allegedly got into a fight with his roommate and at some point, tried to choke that man's dog.
The violent incident took place late Wednesday night at the Cherry Creek Apartments.
The shooter, who was not named, claims that he was attacked when he tried to get the man to stop choking his dog.
Officer Brian Evans, with the Houston Police Department, told KFDX News:
"The secondary roommate was apparently attempting to choke a dog that was inside the apartment belonging to the primary lease holder,"
According to Click2Houston, the shooter was questioned and released. The authorities are continuing to investigate, but for right now, the shooting is being considered self-defense.
No word on the condition of the dog.
