Gary Thomas Ewald, 58, of the Fern Bluff subdivision in Williamson County, was arrested last week and accused of poisoning his neighbor's dogs - two dachshunds and one white German shepherd, according to abclocal.com.
Ewald has been charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals.
Matt Alpers, the owner of the dogs who were allegedly poisoned by Ewald, became extremely ill and convulsed in three different incidents. When Ewald installed a security camera of his property, a December video showed Ewald pouring a liquid onto Alpers' property.
The dogs recovered, and their veterinarian could not pinpoint any poisonous substances without knowing what kind of toxin the dogs may have ingested.
Ewald had allegedly threatened other neighbors in the exclusive neighborhood with poisoning their dogs if the dogs continued to bark.
In the report, Ewald told authorities he was merely cleaning out his barbecue and threw the non-poisonous liquid in his neighbor's yard.
