Texas' Extreme Sports and X-Games legends at HEB locations this weekend

The X-Games are coming up in Austin next month and starting this weekend there will be pre-festivities in metro areas across Texas. One of those will be in San Antonio at two H-E-B locations featuring extreme sports demos on a super ramp and skateboarding legends onsite performing and signing autographs.

Along with the skateboarding, BMX demonstrations and autograph sessions there will be a charity tie-in for Operation Homefront. Operation Homefront is a non-profit organization that provides support for US military families and wounded warriors.

Scheduled to appear:

  • Morgan Wade - Born in Tyler, Texas he won Gold in the 2013 X Games Los Angeles for Big Air BMX. He has competed in every X Games since 2004 (except 2011) and has won multiple medals.
  • Mat Olson - Texas-born legend and pro stunt rider he safely rode the arches of the Seventh St. bridge in Fort Worth, Texas and recently graced the cover of BMX Magazine (January, 2014).
  • Chris Gentry - Born in Houston, Texas he is an accomplished and award-winning vert skateboarder and has been a leading figure in the action sports world over the last 10 years.
  • Woody Itson - a Hall of Fame BMX flatland rider. He owns BMX Pros Tricks Team, a BMX and skate trick team that performs around the world with some of the best riders on the planet.
  • Scott Ditchfield - Born in Ft. Worth, Texas this 13-year professional rider has competed in tournaments worldwide.
