Texas Education Agency website now missing campaign and personal links

As reported previously, the Texas Education Agency profile pages of three Republican Texas State Board of Education members, Barbara Cargill, Terri Leo, and Geraldine "Tincy" Miller contained prominent links to their campaign websites, while the profile pages of two others, Democrat Rick Agosto and Republican Cynthia Dunbar contained links or references to personal websites. These links appeared to be in violation of Section § 255.003 of the Texas Election Code and section § 39.02 of the Texas Penal Code.

A recent review of the Texas Education Agency website shows that those links and references have disappeared.

Requests for responses from the State Board of Education support email address sboesupport@tea.state.tx.us were not immediately returned.
