Three is the magic number for the free Dallas Green Festival 2010 at Texas Discovery Gardens.

The third annual outdoor event features educational fun and environmental stewardship from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 18, 2010. The DFW Smart Car Club is hosting a rally through the streets of Dallas to benefit the TDG children’s education ;rograms as part of the festivities.

Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert is scheduled to make a special appearance and vendors will demonstrate green products. A climbing wall and other activities in a recreation zone will provide entertainment for children.

Food and live music will entertain festival visitors. Nature lovers will want to catch the 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. butterfly releases. The event attracted more than 1,000 visitors in 2009.
