Texas beats Allen twice in two days

ALLEN, Texas-- Monday afternoon the Texas Brahmas earned a 2-1 shootout win over the Allen Americans.

Allen got on the scoreboard first half way though the opening period with a powerplay goal by Ryan Fairbarn. Allen's defense was effective at frustrating Texas' offense and kept them scoreless until the final minute of the second period.

Both goalies were dominant especially Brett Jaeger who stopped 43 American shots on goal. Allen had 10 powerplay opportunities and scored only one goal. Texas' game tying goal also came via a powerplay.

After a scoreless overtime Texas won an eight-round shootout 3-2.
