Is Barack Obama uninterested in the current border crisis in Texas -- or any border in America?
While Americans worry about the shortage of jobs, the spread of diseases from illegal immigrants -- such as, tuberculosis, H1N1 swine flu, bacterial pneumonia, scabies, chicken pox, measles, and lice, and their children's future in suddenly-changing America, Barack Obama is being described as 'aloof' and 'detached.'
Seemingly without a worry, Obama relaxed and socialized in Colorado on Tuesday night, July 8, 2014, with beer and pool games before flying to Texas for Democratic fundraising, Jim Hoft explains, as seen in a video via The Kelly File, Ted Cruz on Obama: “Playing Pool is More Important Than Going to See The Humanitarian Crisis He Created." Referring to Obama's lack of concern about traveling to the Texas border, Ted Cruz states, “The cynicism of President Obama seems to know no bounds. He’s in Texas tonight. He’s going to two major fundraisers … Apparently he doesn’t have time to go and see the border. He doesn’t have time to see the children who are suffering because of his failed policies. Earlier he was playing pool. Apparently playing a game of pool is a higher priority to this president than it would be to go and see the humanitarian crisis he’s created.”
Obama appeared disinterested in requests from Texas Gov. Rick Perry for a first-hand observation of the Texas border crisis.
Many Americans are questioning Obama's perplexing lack of concern for the border crisis and stopping the continuous flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S. -- which is financially draining the country.
Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar expressed his concerns regarding Obama's lack of interest in the border crisis in MSNBC's Dem. Rep. Rips Obama: 'Aloof,' 'Bizarre,' and 'Detached', which was explained by Daniel Harper. Rep. Cuellar stated, "He's so close to the border, and let me say this: When I saw, and I hate to use the word bizarre, but under the circumstances, when he is shown playing pool in Colorado, drinking a beer and he can't even go 242 miles to the Texas border, and plus, if he doesn't want to go down to the border, there's the Air Force Base where HHS is holding some of the young kids from the border. He could at least make that trip to San Antonio, but again, border community leaders wants to see him down there on the border, and I think the optics and substance of it is that he should show up at the border."
Appearing shocked by Obama's distancing behavior from the border crisis, Democratic Rep. Cueller added, "It just floored me, because if he's saying he's too busy to go to the border but you have time to drink beer, play pool . . . . . . "
Texas Senator Ted Cruz expressed his concern once again this week regarding Obama's handling of the current border crisis in Joel Gehrke's Ted Cruz: Obama Plans on Border Surge ‘Continuing Indefinitely.' Senator Cruz states, "President Obama’s request for $3.7 billion in supplemental funding amounts to an 'admission' that he plans for the influx of immigrant children to 'continue indefinitely'. . . . . . Only five percent of the funding would provide for 'boots on the ground' along the southern border . . . . . This is an HHS and social services bill that is entitled 'border security' to make it appear as if it’s responding to the problem.”
Governor Perry was able to meet with the president on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. In a recent video included in Jim's Hoft's article, Rick Perry: Obama Didn’t Know the Border Patrol Was Stationed 40 Miles From Border, Gov. Perry describes the meeting with Obama and states, "I'm comfortable that he was not knowledgeable about where his border patrol was stationed."
Referring to the same meeting with Obama, Gov. Perry added, “We ought to be stopping people from crossing that border, not apprehending them after they get in here. And the president understood that . . . . . . And, he gave me indications that he would work with them to move them upward to where they could be side-by-side DPS, with local law enforcement.”
PJMedia posted Reuters photos of Gov. Perry's meeting with the president, Photos: Obama Laughs His Way Through Meeting with Gov. Perry. "In the two photos, Gov. Perry and his team appear to be taking the moment seriously. President Obama is grinning and laughing."
On Thursday, July 10, Barack Obama attended a Democratic fundraiser in Austin, Texas, and remained in Austin until 2:25 p.m before jetting back to Washington, D.C.
Obama Schedule -- Thursday, July 10, 2014
09:50 CDT -- Attends a DNC fundraiser; private residence, Austin, Texas
12:15 -- Delivers remarks on the economy; The Paramount Theatre, Austin
14:25 -- Departs Austin
18:30 EDT -- Arrives White House
Although Air Force One could have taken Obama from Austin, Texas, to the Texas border within minutes, Obama declined to visit the Texas border, stating that he didn't need to go to the Texas border. Susan Jones in a CNS News report, Obama: 'This Isn't Theater . . . I'm Not Interested in Photo Ops', explained, "President Obama told reporters in Dallas, Texas Wednesday night that he skipped a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border because he already knows what's going on there -- and because he's 'not interested in photo ops.'"
Similar to anti-illegal alien protests in Murietta, California, and other protests spreading throughout the country, armed militia have now set up a command center in Texas with the goal of stopping the flow of illegal immigrants into Texas. In The Washington Times article, Armed militia sets up Texas command center to ‘fight for national sovereignty' Jessica Chasmar states, "A militia has set up a command center south of San Antonio to prepare for what they say is a mission to protect the United States from the influx of illegal immigrants . . . . . The militia, operating via the web site PatriotsInformationHotline.com, founded by Barbie Rogers, said members at the command center in Von Ormy will deploy to Laredo first and spread to other parts of the border, a local ABC affiliate reported."
Chasmar quotes Chris Davis, the 37-year-old commander of the militia group in Texas, "the troops will deploy in a few weeks.”
After beginning work close to 'noon' each day, traveling the country while often dining on $10,000 PLUS per plate dinners at Democratic fundraisers, smiling for photo ops - including pool-playing photo ops in Colorado, and record-breaking days of golf, Obama is planning a 15-day vacation, apparently for his exhaustion.
In The Washington Times article, Amid border crisis, Obama to take 15-day vacation in Martha's Vineyard, Jessica Chasmar, states, "President Obama is taking a 15-day vacation in Martha’s Vineyard next month, despite the widespread criticism he’s received for not visiting the U.S.- Mexico border while it descends into chaos . . . . . . The Obamas will leave Washington on Saturday, Aug. 9, and stay at a $12 million vacation home in Martha’s Vineyard until Sunday, Aug. 24, the White House confirmed late Wednesday."
Martha's Vineyard appears to be a better vacation area than the southern border of Texas at this time. Ryan Lovelace explains in Border Patrol Agent Hospitalized with Pneumonia Caught from an Illegal Immigrant, Expected to Have Lifelong Complications. He states, "A Border Patrol agent from the Laredo, Texas, Sector has been hospitalized for seven days with bacterial pneumonia, which the agent contracted while processing illegal immigrants, officials from National Border Patrol Council 2455 tell National Review Online . . . . . . Agent Jarrad Seely, vice president of NBPC 2455, says the agent is expected to have chronic asthmatic symptoms for life, according to information relayed by the agent. The illness has so swollen the agent’s throat that it’s difficult for the agent to speak, Seely says."
Why has Obama distanced himself from the border crisis? More 'fundamental change' for America?
Never mind the protests of American citizens.
Time to 'play the next game' of golf on a sunny day . . . . .
