Hobby gardeners will learn how to design, plant and manage their own home landscape in a 2.5 day course the weekend of October 5-7 in Dallas. Taught by Dr. Steve George, the programs includes in-depth classroom training, an outdoor laboratory session, a field trip to tour Earth-Kind research trials and a personalized 1.5 hour landscape design consultation to be conducted a few weeks later.

Dr. George is a professor and a landscape specialist with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, as well as creator of the Earth-Kind Environmental Landscape Management System. He will personally conduct all post-class design consultations.

The goal of the class is to provide participants with landscape knowledge and a labeled working plan for the major landscape area of their choice. No previous plant or design knowledge is required. The cost is $295 per household, and class size is limited. For more information or to enroll, please call 972-952-9241.
