Police are calling Tuesday's Texas A&M stadium fall that sent a demolition worker plummeting 4-stories to his death, a tragic accident. The man has been identified as 25-year-old Angel Garcia, according to a Dec. 3 Fox News report. Garcia was declared dead at the hospital from injuries he sustained from the tragic Texas A&M stadium fall.

Texas A&M officials told media outlets that Garcia was an employee at a company working on a $450 million stadium renovation at Texas A&M.

Regarding the Texas A&M stadium fall, the university released the following statement:

"On behalf of Texas A&M University and the extended Aggie family I offer our deepest sympathy to the family of the construction worker who tragically passed away."

"Officials confirmed that at approximately 11:25 a.m. today Angel Garcia, an employee of Lindamood Demolition, fell from the fourth level of the north end of Kyle Field on the campus of Texas A&M University. He was immediately transported to St. Joseph's Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas, where he passed away."

Officials from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Texas A&M University System and campus police are currently investigating the Texas A&M stadium fall.

The Texas A&M stadium fall comes just a few months after another major incident on campus which took place at a construction site. Four workers were seriously injured when the new equine center facility collapsed as it was being built, KBTX reports.

The Texas A&M stadium, also known as Kyle Field, has been the home to the Texas A&M Aggie football team in rudimentary form since 1904, and as a complete stadium since 1927.

The current official stadium seating capacity of 82,589 makes the stadium the third largest football-only venue by seating capacity in the state of Texas. However, the Texas A&M stadium is currently undergoing renovation that will increase its seating capacity to 102,000.
