The Texans will continue their Tailgate Guest Ticket policy according to an email sent to season ticket holders today.
Season ticket holders may now purchase up to ten 'tailgate guest' tickets per game at a cost of $10 per ticket.
When purchased prior to August 9th, 2011, season ticket holders can receive a tailgate guest ticket for all 10 home games at a discounted rate of $80, according to the email.
Guest tickets will also be available for $10 per ticket on an individual game basis throughout the 2011 season. No date was provided for the general sale of tailgate guest tickets but a logical working assumption is that it will coincide with the sale of single game tickets.

This (tailgate guest ticket) policy has helped us create a fan friendly atmosphere for all our season ticket holders that is among the best in the NFL. These Tailgate Guest Tickets will allow additional friends and family to join you and other tailgating enthusiasts as everyone takes part in one of the game’s most sacred rituals on gameday, “Tailgating.” A Tailgate Guest Ticket will allow your guest’s access to a host of resources enjoyed by our season ticket holders including: Texans Tailgate Ambassador customer service staff, increased parking lot security, restrooms, ash & trash collection areas, and 5 hours of total tailgating time (4 hrs pre-game and 1 hr post-game).
All visitors to Reliant Park MUST have a game ticket or other team-issued credential to be on the Reliant Park grounds on Houston Texans home gamedays.
In response to fan feedback, one change this season is that children 15 years of age and younger will not be required to have a tailgate guest ticket or game ticket to enter and remain on Reliant Park grounds with a parent or guardian for Texans home games.
The tailgate guest ticket policy drew mixed reviews when implemented by the Texans early last season, but it was necessary in terms of controlling a non-ticketed parking lot crowd that was becoming more disruptive and difficult to control.
