Texans fans have little patience for Dunta's whining

Here I was having a great draft day and then I run across this article by John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

I'm not going to go back over all the details so if you read this, you'll catch up quickly on how I feel about this subject.  And I'm not alone.

Robinson told McClain today that he wants the Texans to agree not to franchise him again next year.  I can understand that, but I wonder if Robinson can even play at a level that would guarantee him the tag next year.

After what I saw in late '08 I think he's a fool for not taking that 23 million the Texans offered.

Robinson says he might stay away if the Texans don't agree to his terms.  Whatever floats your boat Dunta.  Forfeit those game checks to prove your point.  If I'm the Texans, I'm looking at a corner in the second round of the draft and planning for the future.

And if I'm the Texans, I'm not giving more than 23 million guaranteed to a guy that's rapidly turning into malcontent and one who's flushed almost all of those five years of good will and fan favoritism down the toilet.

If Dunta "just wanted to play football" and "loves Houston" so much, he had 23 million reasons to sign a contract, be one of the highest paid corners in the league, and already be with his teammates.

Note to readers:  If you are looking for my "Live from the Texans Draft Party" entry, so am I.  When I published this article, it wiped out everything I did earlier today and replaced that entry with this one.  Imagine my unhappiness right about now.....
