Tetris To Hit PS3 in 2010

Adam Grant, PSP European Product Manager for SCEE, has recently announced that "EA is currently working on a PS3 version of Tetris that will take full advantage of the capabilities of the PS3 and
provide the best experience. Look for this version to be available
later this year."

Hopefully, this announcement means that this new Tetris will be more than just a mini-game download as most recently released Tetris's have been.  Let's hope for a Spring release date this year.

Incase you didn't know, Tetris has been around since 1984 when Alexey Leonidovich Pajitnov developed the first version on an Electronica 60.  In the games 26 years of history, it has been recognized in the Guinness World Records 2009 Gamer’s Edition ranks Tetris #2 on the “Top 50 Console Games of All Time” list and has had over 100 million downloads from iTunes.  Tetris is played in over 50 countries and has been translated into even more languages.  It has been produced for 30 different platforms and had around 35 million copies sold for the original Gameboy.
