Tetley’s British blend tea is a black tea, not to be confused with English Breakfast tea, which has a slightly different taste. Tetley’s tea is a bit stronger than your average cup of tea and can be a little bitter if brewed too long. Since the tea is stronger you want to steep it for less time. If making this tea with no milk then recommended brewing time is 1 ½ to 2 minutes and if making with milk do a minute longer. As with all new teas you have to play around with it to find the desired taste you like.
To make this tea with Jim Bean Honey here is the ingredients you need:
First add all liquids to your cup and heat up for a minute and half in microwave. You can use less Alcohol if you want a weaker drink as this recipe makes a pretty strong cup. Also heating the liquor doesn’t cook any off because the temperature simply isn’t hot enough. You don’t steep tea pods instead you stir it up to steep it and when desired taste is reached remove pods and use fingers to gently press to get excess tea from the pod. Recommended steeping time would be 5-7 minutes to get a nice strong cup. Next sweeten your tea and of course you can use less sweeteners if desired. Enjoy your cup of Spiked British Blend tea, which the Jim Bean Honey lends itself well to.
Note:This recipe can also be made into an iced tea simply by adding ice.
