Starting today and running until Monday, the Chrysler Group will offer a unique test drive experience at the Detroit Jazz Festival where event attendees can drive the latest and greatest from the Chrysler brand without the pressurized situation of test driving a vehicle at a dealership. While drivers will be accompanied by a Chrysler Group “product expert”, those folks are simply there to answer questions (and make sure that you don’t steal the car) as opposed to a new car salesman who is riding along with the intent of talking you into buying the vehicle.

The Chrysler Group Detroit Jazz Festival drive event is free to anyone over the age of 18 years old with a current driver’s license. To take part, show-goers simply have to visit the Chrysler Group display tent at 660 Woodward Avenue/Congress and sign up for a test drive. While in the Chrysler display, visitors will have a chance to play different games with varying Chrysler Group prizes. Also, just for test driving a Chrysler Group vehicle at the Jazz Festival, you will be entered into the Chrysler brand's National Giveaway for a chance to win $45,000 toward any eligible Chrysler Group vehicle.

$45,000 would go a long way when shopping in a Chrysler Group dealership – essentially entitling the winner to their choice of any vehicle in the current lineup sans the 2013 SRT Viper and the other high performance Street and Racing Technology models. Literally every model in the Chrysler Group production lineup right now offers a model with a price under $45k and in the case of most vehicles – every trimline costs less than $45k. So whether you want a new Ram 1500, a Dodge Challenger R/T, a Chrysler 300C, a Jeep Grand Cherokee or a Fiat 500, this prize will have you covered.

In addition to the test drive portion of the Detroit Jazz Festival, we can expect Chrysler’s involvement with the 4-day event to offer plenty of branding opportunities including things like the “Stow n Go Challenge”. Drive sessions are scheduled to take place today from 5-11pm; Saturday and Sunday (September 1st and 2nd) from 11am to 11pm and Monday September 3 from 11am to 7pm. The Fiat 500 Abarth shown on the left isn’t included but the awesome new Chrysler 300 is worth the drive – for those uninterested in the Jazz.
