Tesla announced today that Nevada, at a site near Reno, could be the likely location of one of its giga battery factories. Nevada must convene a special legislative session to approve all the financial incentives they have promised the company first however. This location actually makes a lot of sense because it offers plenty of (green energy) options for the factory as well as being close to a major lithium supply source. This is the site operated by Western Lithium USA which trades on the penny stock sheets as WLCDF. Their share price rose about .33 in the last five days in anticipation of the news. Tesla (TSLA) is up 4.85 on the news.

Great news! They will be back in Scottsdale on September 13 and 14 if you miss out this weekend. For those of you lucky enough you to not live in Arizona, just remember that the above mentioned website has the upcoming schedule for Tesla test drives across the country.

When the battery factory is up and running hopefully in 2017, Tesla expects to be able to offer cars in the $30,000 range down from the $70,000 current price. They expect to sell over 200,000 cars per year then, up from about 20,000 per year current production.

I expect this will reflect in a higher price for Tesla stock. It currently trades at $286.

Now if you want a more exciting run you might take another look at Western Lithium. I have to admit that I cashed in my holdings today for a very handsome short term gain. Keep following this stock. I expect several more dramatic price swings that if you stay on the right side of could be quite profitable. If you go this route just remember that anything can happen with penny stocks so pay close attention. Good luck.
