"Test Drive" a new Kayak or Canoe for Free First!

You always need to know what you're buying before you buy it... and the "Adirondack Paddlefest 2010" is one of the largest "on-water" canoe and kayak sales test-events, on any waterway, in the East!. Take out as many types and models as you'd like... they'll hope you do!

The three day event happens in historic Old Forge, NY on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 21st  through the 23rd.  There should be over 1000 water vessels you can pick from to "paddle test"  (hopefully you're there for the weekend).  You'll be able to try the crafts in "real world conditions," not in a test pool, if any sport's store would ever offer that!  Dick's, Bass Outfitters maybe, or Orvis home-store in Manchester, Vermont.

This a manufacturer's participating event, so you can ask their experts and representatives (of their respective companies), exactly why a deeper draft on some canoes is preferred or what length of kayak and it's options for gear-storage are best for the waterways you plan to travel.  There's sure to be other "guide" information too, such as paddling techniques, routes to local B&B's, to guided tour-trips.  And, you couldn't be in a more prestine spot in all of world, in my opinion.
