In addition to building the “world’s largest” battery factory, Tesla Motors is planning to open more than 30 new service centers and stores throughout ASIA and Europe in the hope of doubling its US sales, which plans to build the world's largest battery factory, said it will open more than 30 new service centers and stores in Europe, in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, an Denmark, as well as in China, where they lack the same sort of access to charging stations available here. The company also stated that they anticipate sales there to double those now projected for North America.

"Growing international sales is a crucial part of the plan for the Tesla, but it won't be easy," said Ed Kim, vice president of industry analysis for consultant AutoPacific in California. "

He also announced that the company will offer “right-hand drive versions of the Model S sedan for consumers in the United Kingdom, as well as leasing and financing programs throughout the continent.
