Imagine the heartache of losing the only family that you have ever known.
Imagine the terror of leaving your home and arriving to a kennel run, devoid of anything that smells or looks remotely familiar.
Imagine never hearing the voice of your family again.
Imagine the possibility of being destroyed just because your family died.
Those what-ifs are a reality for four-year-old "Duchess," a boxer mix who is now residing at the Habersham County Animal Care & Control in Clarkesville, Ga. following the death of her guardian.
The following was shared about this sad dog:
She will not even look us in the eye or let us touch her. She seems to have totally given up all hope.
Duchess is not the only dog who was left homeless after her owner died.
In fact, there are several dogs who are all at the same animal control facility, and none of them are doing well there.
In order for them to have any hope of a future, they will need to be networked for adoption or rescue.
