Terriers has completed its first season on FX Network and whether the series will return for a second season is unknown,  according to a statement made by Donal Logue on Carson Daley on NBC on December 21, 2010. Donal Logue is the star of the series about a pair of outsider Private Detectives in Los Angeles.

Terriers debuted in September, 2010 and the  buddy series about two down-and out men, struggling to survive after losing everything began to unfold. The series stars  Donal Logue (The Tao of Steve, Damages) and Michael Raymond-James (True Blood).  It centers on “Hank Dolworth” (Logue), an ex-cop who partners with his best friend “Britt Pollack” (Raymond-James) to launch an unlicensed private investigation business.  The duo, both struggling with maturity issues, solve crimes while avoiding danger and responsibility.

The two men are struggling to survive emotionally and economically, a state that many people can relate to. Terriers is a series with a lot of heart, that offers a view of the world of the underbelly of life in Los Angeles.

Hank is a character driven by remorse after losing his job and his wife due to his alcoholism.  Hank is now sober, but now has to live with regrets for his past actions, while still moving forward to the future. During season one he longed to get back with his ex-wife, but had to stand by while she married another man.

In an exclusive interview, Donal Logue described Terriers as  reminiscent of the rollicking detective series' fro the 1970s and 1980s , such as The Rockford Files and Simon & Simon. Interview with Donal Logue of Terriers

Terriers, starring Donal Logue and Michael Raymond-James debuted on FX on September 8, 2010. The comedic drama is a detective series from Creator/Executive Producer Ted Griffin (Ocean’s Eleven) and Executive Producer Shawn Ryan (The Shield).

Terriers was my favorite new show this year, but it was canceled on December 6. The Carson Daly show you watched is a repeat from earlier this year.
