Terrell Owens' run-in with cops certainly won't help him get back in the NFL. Apparently Owens was found banging on a woman's door early on Friday (Feb. 15) and simply refused to leave her property. According to a report on the incident, it took the police arriving for him to stop.
Behavior problems are something that seemed to follow Owens with every team he played for in the NFL. Even as it seems his time in the league has come to an end, he is making headlines for his actions. This time it looks like he was very close to getting arrested and if not for some officers giving him a long leash, that might have been the outcome of this Friday morning incident.
The story goes that a woman called police and they arrived on the scene at about 4:30 am. Owens had allegedly spent the past three hours banging on her door and she was not going to open it for him. She made that very clear, but it doesn't look like he was getting the message. While there might be two sides to this story, Owens has still not responded with a reason or excuse for why he was persistently banging on the door.
Terrell Owens' run-in with cops could probably spell an end to any thoughts of him being invited to an NFL training camp this season. It was a long-shot already, but no team wants to deal with what appears to be a ticking time bomb. He wasn't arrested this time, but it could become a public relations nightmare should it happen at some point.
