Terrapin Beer Co. revives Liquid Bliss to be their latest year-round offering

Here is some good news for craft beer fans who enjoy a little peanut butter in their beer. Terrapin Beer Co. (Athens, Georgia) is bringing back Liquid Bliss Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter as their newest year-round offering beginning next month.

As you may remember, Liquid Bliss made its debut back in late 2012 as Volume 18 in the brewery's experimental Side Project series. It was no surprise that this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter was a huge hit with craft beer lovers, and it only made sense for Terrapin to resurrect this tasty libation so that their fans could enjoy it year-round. To ensure that nothing but the best ingredients will be going into Liquid Bliss, the brewery will use cocoa nibs from Olive & Sinclair Chocolate Co., the same artisan chocolate maker in Nashville where Terrapin sources the nibs for each year's batch of their beloved Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout. For more information on Liquid Bliss, here are the beer's vital stats and label description:

Unlock your inner Zen and delve into the Yin and Yang of two decadent flavors. Focus on the harmonic togetherness of chocolate and peanut butter as it takes you to a place that you never thought possible… a “Liquid Bliss.”

ABV: 6%
IBU: 30
OG: 15.5

Malts: 2-Row Pale, Wheat, Crystal 86, Crystal 120, Chocolate, Chocolate Wheat, Black
Hops: US Golding

Starting in June, Liquid Bliss will be available throughout Terrapin's distribution area in six packs of 12 oz. bottles and on draft (1/6 BBL and 1/2 BBL kegs). Joining Hi-5 IPA, Liquid Bliss will be the second new addition to the brewery's year-round lineup in 2014.

Although the temptation will be difficult avoid, there will be no need to stock up on cases of Liquid Bliss when it releases next month. You can confidently grab just a sixer at time now that you know it will be on the shelf waiting for you throughout the year. In related news: If June is just too far away and you need your peanut butter beer fix now, check out Rocket Republic Brewing Company's Peanut Butter AstroNut Brown Ale. Word is that Rocket Republic just finished up a larger batch of this delicious treat and you should be able to find it at select accounts throughout their distribution area. Prost!
