Like adventure? Come experience Terrapin Adventures in Savage, MD. With specially trained Terrapin Rangers to help and educate you, Terrapin Adventures is “all about having fun, learning about our environment and picking up new skills and thrills,” so reads their mission.
Built by Inner Quest, Terrapin Adventures strives to make vacation fun more accessible and local to residents in and around Baltimore. The company is an affiliate of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, Howard County Tourism Bureau, Anne Arundel County Tourism, Baltimore County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Destinations DC and the Association of Challenge Course Technology.
Terrapin Adventures provides all equipment necessary for whichever adventure you choose to pursue, and even offers catered meals and lunchbox luncheons. Popular attractions you may wish to check into include: the Giant Swing, a 330-foot Zip Line, the Terrapin Tower and the Hi-Ropes Challenge, just to name a few. For visitors wishing to conquer all 32 elements of the Adventure Center, there is the Terrapin Challenge. The Terrapin Challenge lasts for a four hour time slot of your choosing and includes all the above attractions in addition to Islands in the Sky, Heebie Jeebie, Leap of Faith and Raiders Bridge.
In addition to Terrapin Adventures Center in Savage, other extended adventures await you in other locations on the bay. Extended thrills include adventures in biking, hiking, climbing and repelling, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, tubing, fly fishing, horseback riding and much more. Terrapin Adventures also has great team building programs, camps and offers special event parties.
To join in on the fun at Terrapin Adventures you must weight no less than 70 pounds and no more than 275 pounds. You must be at least 48” tall and 8 years of age or older. Booking ahead is encouraged. Season passes are available, and there is even a frequent flyer program. If you tackle five of the same element during the same calendar year, you get the sixth one free.
