Terra Ravager is a brand new "Magic; The Gathering" card from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming "Commander (2013 Edition)." This red uncommon creature card's power grows larger the longer a game goes.
Terra Ravager - 2RR
Creature - Elemental Beast (Uncommon)
Whenever Terra Ravager attacks, it gets +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the number of lands defending player controls.
It lives in the mountaintops, feeds at the mountains' feet, and kills anything it finds on the path between.
Terra Ravager's power is reliant upon the number of lands your opponent controls. Luckily in the commander format players utilize many high cost spells and creatures, and a late game Terra Ravager with power of ten or greater isn't entirely out of the question in a long and grindy multiplayer battle. Cards like Tempt with Discovery will entice your rivals into getting additional lands onto the battlefield so that your Terra Ravager is bigger when it attacks.
Because Terra Ravager's ability triggers when it attacks you'll want to attack multiple times in a turn in order to take full advantage of it. Cards like Aurelia, the Warleader will grant you an additional combat step. Additionally, you're able to abuse Terra Ravager in combination with cards that care about its creature types: Elemental and Beast.
Although Terra Ravager is new to the game from the commander product, there doesn't seem to be any reason why it couldn't see print in a normal set.
You'll find Terra Ravager in the "Mind Seize" deck.
How will you use Terra Ravager?
