Teri Hatcher gets desperate to win triathlon

Hot and sexy Teri Hatcher is rocking a new neighborhood. As a committed competitior for the Nautica Malibu Triathlon, Teri will be swimming, cycling and racing towards the finish line this weekend (September 13).

With the hopes of crossing the gold and raising at least $10,000 for Children's Hospital - Los Angeles, the Desperate Housewives star will be not only reaching fundraising hallmarks, but scaling a personal fitness goal also.

The 44-year-old beauty has racing a triathlon on her "bucket list" and will be able to scratch off the task after this weekend. Hatcher made comments on her website about the endeavor.

"I have single-handedly taken my carbon footprint significantly down by riding my bike to work at least 3 times a week," Hatcher said.

"I’m running on my treadmill so I’ve had to find room in my closet for the clothes that normally hang on it, and I’m swimming 50 to 80 laps in my pool. Thus the pool no longer serves as a leaf and bee catcher,” Teri writes on her TeamTeri Hatcher website.

“I’m really finding the swim and bike to be a lot of fun, though I have no awareness of my time. I’m in it for the kids and just to finish without walking.”

And while every triathete has its one-leg fear, Teri holds her worry in the run. She said on her website she dreads the run the most saying it's "HARD" and the last four miles should be the worst.

Fortunately, for Hatcher, she'll have $10,000 riding on the fact that she'll make at least make it through.

For Desperate Housewives fans, Teri will be bringing home more than just a triathlon trophy to Wisteria Lane.

Rumors say season six will bring Teri Hatcher down the aisle after reports caught the star wearing a wedding dress while filiming the upcoming season.

The first episode of the 2009-2010 season will air Sunday, September 27, 2009.
