Now that Teresa Giudice has been sentenced to jail for fraud, she is requesting three special privileges from the judge. Two of the three privileges Theresa is requesting were briefly addressed by Bravo network Andy Cohen in an interview with E! News correspondent Jesse Giddings on how Teresa’s legal issues will affect the”Real Housewives of New Jersey. On March 10, , E! Online published an article which satisfies RHONJ fan’s curiosity about two of the requests Teresa Giudice made.

Teresa Giudice’s 3 Special Requests

In connection with her jail sentence of less than two years, Teresa Giudice has made the following three requests, which are somewhat related, and are primarily for the benefit of her kids. See Teresa and Joe Giudice Ask to Serve Jail Time Separately Because of Their Kids.

  • Staggered or Separate Sentence

Teresa has made a formal request to the judge asking him to grant her the privilege of serving a staggered or consecutive jail term. If granted, this would mean that Teresa would not have to serve her prison sentence at the same time her husband Joe is serving his. This would allow at least one parent to remain at home to care for the couple’s four daughters who range in age from 13 to 4, while the other parent is serving time. See Teresa and Joe Giudice Ask to Serve Jail Time Separately Because of Their Kids. Teresa’s couple’s attorney is optimistic that the judge will grant Teresa’s request because he has granted similar requests before.

  • House Arrest

Teresa is also asking that she be placed under house arrest rather than having to serve her sentence in jail. Again for the sake of her kids. House arrest, if granted, would also facilitate Teresa’s third request below.

  • Filming Privileges

Teresa is also requesting that if she’s placed under house arrest, she be allowed to continue filming “Real Housewives of New Jersey” from her home. Legal experts say is filming is unlikely to be allowed either by a camera crew of by Teresa herself. If Teresa does any type of filming against the judge’s orders, she would be required to serve the remainder of her sentence in jail.

What Andy Cohen of Bravo Has to Say

According to Andy Cohen from Bravo, the network, which airs the reality TV show, “Real Housewives of New Jersey” they are currently in the process of shooting season 6.

Since it’s unclear whether or not Teresa will be placed under house arrest, and if she is, whether or not she will be able to continue filming the show, this is what Andy Cohen has to say:

I'm gonna let her get through the sentencing and then we'll all talk.

So the bottom line is that he really doesn’t know. As it stands now, it’s up to the judge. Sentencing is scheduled for July 8.
