Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice walked into a courtroom today with her husband Joe by her side and pleaded guilty to fraud charges. People reported on March 4 that the couple entered a guilty plea on these charges, which include conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and three counts of bankruptcy fraud.

Teresa and Joe both entered not guilty pleas in November, but now they have changed those to guilty as part of a deal. She released a statement through her attorneys saying, "Today I took responsibility for a series of mistakes I made several years ago."

Teresa has expressed feelings of heartache over the pain this ordeal has caused her family. She is especially concerned for her four daughters and said they “mean more to me than anything in the world.”

Sentencing will not take place until July 8 and it is unknown if she will be able to avoid jail time. There is a possibility of her serving up to 27 months.

Radar Online reported that NeNe Leakes, who was just cast on “Dancing With the Stars,” came to her defense on March 4 saying that she wishes her nothing but the best. NeNe said she hopes there is no time behind bars for Teresa. She said, “I don’t want to see her have to go to jail, she is a mom, she has kids, I have kids, and her kids need her. So, I just wish her all the best.”

Everyone has been expressing well wishes for Teresa on her Twitter as well.
