A fundraiser for Teresa Giudice appears to have been canceled, but the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star will still be making an appearance at the Maliblue Oyster Bar. Radar Online reports on Aug. 29 that Giudice states she was not aware the restaurant was planning to raise money to help with her legal costs.
Teresa Giudice had planned to make an appearance at the Maliblue Oyster Bar restaurant located in Long Island. Staff had started to put together a fundraiser for the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” to help with her recent legal problems.
Giudice describes the event as a meet and greet with fans and denies she was involved in the fundraiser organization. On Twitter, Teresa calls this a “very sweet” gesture but asks fans to donate to a charity instead. Dover Caterers actually apologized to the reality star on Twitter and encouraged people to come to the event.
Joe and Teresa Giudice have been accused of fraud among 39 charges. Workers at the Maliblue Oyster Bar tried to organize a fundraiser because they believe Teresa will be “vindicated soon” but needs financial support. The staff is also concerned about fines she may face as a result of a sentence. However, Giudice states she knew nothing about these efforts to raise money on her behalf and was not in communication with staff about a fundraiser. Instead, she asks fans to donate to a favorite charity but reminds them to stop by and see her at the Maliblue Oyster Bar.
