Tequila ArteNOM: T.G.I.F. Cocktail recipes: May 16th Edition

Tequila ArteNOM presents tequila connoisseurs three limited release selections (80 proof), which highlight the agave cultivation altitude, soil and the incredible distillation techniques of different tequila-producing locations. These are to be savored. After all, they will not be around forever.

There are three Del Tequila selections, for which we have recently received. These are all 100% pure Weber Agave and include Anejo, Reposado and the Blanco. Each of these may be purchased online at various retailers.

Recipes (Using any of the three listed ArteNOM Selecciones):

Cocoa Raw
1.5 Ounce Mezcal
.75 Ounce Pineapple Juice
.5 Ounce Mozart Dry cocoa sprint or Coffee Liqueur
¼ Ounce Orgeat

Shake and strain into a tumbler with crushed ice. Garnish with lime and mint.

1 Ounce Mezcal
0.75 Ounces Pineapple Juice
1 Barspoon Coffee Liqueur
¼ Ounce Orgeat

Shake and strain into a tumbler with crushed ice. For garnish, use a pineapple spear, zest of limequat and brandied cherry.

Mazatlan Oax
1 Ounce Mezcal
1 Ounce Passionfruit juice
¼ Ounce Grenadine
¼ Ounce Orgeat
Sprinkle of Fresa Lime
Garnish with a Sugar Rim

Rim the glass, then add everything except grenadine to a shaker and shake over ice, strain and pour into a tumbler filled with fresh crushed ice and a few lime quarters. Add a splash of grenadine.

ArteNOM Seleccion 1146 Anejo Tequila 750ml

Hughes Aircraft Margarita
3 Parts Anejo Tequila
2 Parts Cointreau or Grand Marnier
1 Part Lime Juice
1 Part Lemon Juice
3 Parts Ice

Blend until the ice is broken up. Rub lime around the outside of the rim of a tumbler. Dip in salt. Pour.

The Puro Margarita
2 Ounces 100% Agave Tequila, Blanco, Reposado or Anejo
1 OUnce Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1 to 2 tsp. Agave Nectar (The amount varies on the sweet/tartness of lime)
Salt - Optional

Add fresh, pureed fruit (1 to 2 tsp.) to make a pure flavored margarita.

ArteNOM Seleccion de 1414 Tequila Reposado 750ml

Fire and Brimstone
1 Ounce Mezcal
1 Ounce Tequila Reposado
.25 Ounce Homemade Hibiscus Grenadine
.25 Ounce Orgeat, Homemade too - by Trader Tiki
.5 Ounce Fresh Lime
.5 Small, Red Chili Pepper to Muddle, Cut in 4 Pieces

Gently muddle the chili pepper with lime juice and orgeat and then add everything else except grenadine to a shaker and shake over ice, strain and pour into a tumbler filled with fresh crushed ice. Add grenadine and garnish with pieces of red chili pepper on top of the crushed ice and fresh mint.

JazzyB's Margarita
1 1/2 Ounce Reposado
3/4 Ounce Cointreau
1 Ounce Fresh Lime Juice
1/4 Ounce Simple Syrup

ULUA Sunrise
1.5 Ounces Tequila ArteNOM Reposado
0.5 Ounce Kahlua Coffee Cream
1 t (Very Small) Creme de Cacao
2 oz Fresh Pineapple Juice
Float Don Amado Plata Mezcal

Shake, strain and serve with crushed ice add a good float Crema de Mezcal. Fill up with more crushed ice and garnish with a pineapple leaf.

ArteNOM Seleccion de 1580 Blanco Tequila 750ml

Chipotle's Margarita Mix
2 Ounces Blanco Tequila
1 Ounce Gran Gala Orange Liqueur
3/4 Ounce Fresh Lime Juice
1/4 Ounce Simple Syrup

Margarita by MelroseGal
1 Cup Tequila
1 Cup Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1/2 Cup Triple Sec
1/2 cup sugar
2 Cups water

Mix well.
