Four events highlight Tennessee Tourism activities this year, but many other activities across the state to make your Heritage Tourism visit well work the effort in 2014.
In August, the "Birthplace of County Music Museum" is scheduled to open. This 24,000-square-foot facility will house operations including the museum, educational programs, and artistic programming in downtown Bristol. 75,000 visitors per year are expected in this Northeast Tennessee distention. Will you be one of them?
In Nashville, the 140,000-square-foot "Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum" will complete a 220,000-square-foot expansion in the spring of 2014. It is billed as the largest collection of country music artifacts in the world.
Tennessee Civil War Sesquicentennial Signature Events continue in 2014 with "The Final Shots in Tennessee" in Franklin on November 13-14. Keynote speaker will be famous British Civil War Scholar Amanda Foreman. For more information, visit www.tncivilwar150.com.
