Tennessee Shines at the Bijou

On the last Wednesday of every month 4-6 performers take the stage at Knoxville's Bijou theater in a showcase of local and national music talents known as Tennessee Shines. Hosted by grammy-winner Jim Lauderdale, this monthly concert features artists such as Cherryholmes and The Bowmans. Cherryholmes are bluegrass phenoms and Clair and Sarah Bowman are Brooklyn-based international folk star sisters.

Other Artists from previous months include local talents such as Ben Maney, a pianist you can catch every friday night at the S&W Grand a few blocks from the Bijou on Gay Street. His rhythmic, skillful jazz is only a small part of the eclectic and immensely talent-filled music offering that is Tennessee Shines.  Show starts at 7pm and admission is $20 in advance or $25 day of.
