According to a report published by the Huffington Post on October 2, a church bus packed with people was involved in a collision around 2 p.m. Wednesday near Dandridge, Tennessee., and that accident has resulted in multiple fatalities.
The Huffington Post reports that a passenger bus, a tractor-trailer, and two other vehicles were involved in the collision. Reports indicate that the bus crossed the center line, then struck the tractor-trailer and the other vehicles. A spokeswoman reportedly told the Huffington Post that the tractor-trailer caught fire, and the bus overturned.
There are conflicting reports on the number of dead and injured victims involved in this accident. The Huffington Post reports that authorities are unable or unwilling to confirm the number of victims; however, WDRB News reports that at least eight people killed and 14 injured in the crash.
