Tenafly Nature Center to hold program about endangered species

On Sunday, January 12, 2014, the Tenafly Nature Center will be offering a program from 2 until 3:30 p.m. about endangered species. The program is titled “2014 Endangered and Extinct, Past and Future Signature Event
From the Passenger Pigeon to the Bald Eagle.”

A rare Passenger Pigeon specimen will be on display and visitors will learn how the endangered bald eagle was spared from extinction and is recovering. Learn more about the Passenger Pigeon and the causes of mass extinctions.

There will also be live endangered animals on display that are threatened and endangered and learn how you can help save these animals from extinction, because extinction is forever. This program is intended for adults and families with children 7 and older.
