What began in the late '90s, resulting in the debut full-length [A-->B] Life (2002), and has led up to the present with the band's fifth album titled Ten Stories (2012), is the musical endeavor known as mewithoutYou. Most recently, this Philadelphia, Pennsylvania quartet are preparing to embark on the 10-year anniversary tour of their second album Catch for Us the Foxes, an indisputable fan-favorite, which they will perform in its entirety at a handful of west coast shows. Joining mewithoutYou for this tour are Topshelf Records' Connecticut-based indie rockers The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die and Dallas, Texas atmospheric electro-psych quartet Dark Rooms.

Even though mewithoutYou's sound shifted considerably for their rather experimental 2009 full-length release It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All a Dream! It's Alright (2009) on Tooth & Nail Records, they returned to their roots somewhat with their latest album Ten Stories. And to this day, it isn't at all difficult to see why Catch for Us the Foxes (2004) is still such an important album to mewithoutYou and their fans, as it captures a good deal of what the band has to offer musically, vocally and lyrically. From the opener "Torches Together" to the closer "Son of a Widow," Catch for Us the Foxes utterly absorbs the listener. With impressive musicianship, effective vocal delivery and intelligent, personal and spiritually-driven lyrics, the Weiss brothers and company wrote and executed a decidedly lasting collection of songs. Hence this 10-year anniversary tour.
