Ten questions with MMA beauty Rachael Cummins

Rachael "The Panther" Cummins, a two-time Tuff-N-Uff winner, said on Jan. 20 in an exclusive interview with Long Island MMA Examiner Eric Holden that she doesn't see anything wrong with female fighters using sex appeal to enhance their careers.

She also weighed in on a number of other topics, including wardrobe malfunctions, ring boys and male vs female MMA fights.

Cummins kindly took out a few minutes from her busy schedule to weigh in on some of the most controversial topics in MMA. Here's what she had to say:

Q. Since there are ring girls for male MMA, should women's MMA have ring boys?

Cummins: No way. That is weird. I don't think that would be very manly.

Q. What if they wore a classy suit instead of a speedo?

Cummins: Like a secret agent? That would be hot. (Laughs).

Q. Leslie Smith and Alexis Davis both suffered wardrobe malfunctions at Invicta FC 4. Do you do anything special to prevent the dreaded nip or cheek slip in your cage fights?

Cummins: I wear two sports bras and extra tight shorts so that it doesn't happen. However I do wear pretty short shorts, so there is a possibility of a cheek slip. If it happens, it's not a big deal.

Q. Did you know that Tim Tebow and Justin Bieber are both huge MMA fans?

Cummins: Hah nice I'm definitely a fan of both of them.

Q. Invicta FC fighter Ediane Gomes once fought a man in a cage fight in her homeland of Brazil. Do you think there will ever come a time when it won't be a taboo for men and women to fight each other in a cage?

Cummins: Maybe. But a man is naturally so much stronger than a women, so it won't be fair. I'd watch Cris "Cyborg" Santos fight a male, but not a super girly girl. That's so weird.

Q. You seem to be following in the same path of Felice Herrig and Ronda Rousey, fighters who have posed for sexy photo shoots to enhance their MMA careers. Do you ever get backlash about that or people are mostly supportive? Is there anything wrong with using sex appeal to get ahead?

Cummins: Well sometimes people think that you can't fight because you are too girly. I think as long as you can back it up with skill then it's an absolute plus! People are drawn to different types of MMA girls, ones that are girly and some that aren't. It's good to have a nice variety.

Q. Do you have any fights lined up? When can fans expect to see you back in action?

Cummins: We are looking for a Muay Thai fight next month maybe. I'm looking to make my pro MMA debut hopefully around April.

Q. Where can MMA fans check you out on the Internet?

Cummins: Follow me on Twitter @RachaelCummins.
