1) Azul Located in the Mandarin Oriental, it's only open for dinner for Miami Spice. All the desserts sound wonderful at this innovative, beautiful restaurant. Try to snag a table with a view of the water.
2) Bazaar by Jose Andres Tapas style food from around the globe set this restaurant apart from the norm. No lunch, only dinner (but not on Friday or Saturday) for Miami Spice, but this spot offers tons of options on the menu. Try the Kueh Pai Ti- shrimp and peanuts in chili sauce, for a spicy appetizer.
3) DB Bistro Moderne Located in the JW Marriot Marquis, this French bistro is open for lunch (but not Saturday or Sunday) and dinner (except Sunday night) for Miami Spice. Try the duck ballotine for an appetizer and one of their divine desserts.
4) Hakkasan at Fontainebleau A modern take on Cantonese fare, this British import has a dim sum lunch Friday and Saturday and dinner every night for Miami Spice. Dining is based on two guests per table, with two appetizers and entrees (with rice and vegetable) to be shared and one dessert per person.
5) J & G Grill A beautiful, cool water view sets this stage in Bal Harbor for this restaurant in the St. Regis, which offers creative takes on favorite dishes. No lunch for Miami Spice, but dinner every night. The wagyu tri tip au poivre with carmelized cauliflower and nut and seed crusted snapper, both sound like winning choices for entrees.
6) Ortanique on the Mile Since the menu changes daily, it's hard to recommend a dish, but diners can't go wrong with their ceviches, fish dishes, flat iron steak and fruit sorbets. Open for dinner every night.
7) Trulucks This steak and seafood house on Brickell has no Miami Spice lunch, but does dinner every night. The scallop and truffled corn bisque sounds tempting.
8) The Trapiche Room Wine aficionados will enjoy this intimate dining experience in the JW Marriott. Try the speck wrapped prawns or duck confit rice ball for an appetizer and the grilled swordfish with faro for an entrée. Wine pairings available for an extra charge.
9) Bourbon Steak Why trek to Aventura for a steakhouse? Because it's that good. Chef Michael Mina delivers bold flavors at his American steakhouse. Try the lobster and corn chowder, angus rib eye with faro and pea risotto and don't miss the Snicker's dessert.
10) Angelique Euro Café While the Miami Dining Examiner heard the calamari frito appetizer is amazing, Angelique's ran out of it on a recent visit. The escargot in sherry cream sauce (with French bread for dipping) was a delicious alternative. Also recommended, the seared duck breast with duck hash and the steak au poivre with truffle fries. End with the white chocolate and raspberry bread pudding. Try to dine early, before they sell out of items.
