Spoiled today Oct. 18, 2013 in a media update to the card image gallery of DailyMTG.com, Tempt with Glory is one of the newest "Magic: The Gathering" cards from "Commander (2013 Edition)." This rare white sorcery card can potentially increase the size of your creatures by as many players are in your game.
Tempt with Glory - 5W
Tempting offer - Put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control. Each opponent may put a +1/+1 counter on each creature he or she controls. For each opponent who does, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
As we've seen with Tempt with Immortality, Tempt with Glory offers an incentive to each of your rivals and if they take the bait you'll be rewarded. In this case, with +1/+1 counter on all of your creatures.
At six mana Temp with Glory's power and efficiency are highly contingent upon three factors:
- How many other players are left in your game.
- The number of creatures you control.
- How smart your opponents are.
With just one or two opponents, Tempt with Glory really isn't that amazing, at most yielding three +1/+1 counters on all of your creatures. It's when you have five plus creatures and five plus opponents when Tempt with Glory starts to get more interesting.
Enchantments like Doubling Season and Primal Vigor will also make your Tempt with Glory more effective. You'll want to include creatures and other cards that care about +1/+1 counters in your deck to really extract the most value from it though.
How will you use Tempt with Glory?
