Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:

Hazardous Outlook: Winter Storm Warning from 1am tonight through 1am Saturday am......

Rain will move though the region tonight slowly transitioning to freezing rain and sleet by dawn from NW to SE. Light ice accumulations of 0.1 to 0.2 of an inch and sleet accumulations of a half an inch or less will be likely for the I-71 corridor by dawn. The mix will change to snow during the day Friday and become heavy at times Friday afternoon and evening before tapering off Friday night around midnight. 3 to 7 inches of snow can be expected along the I-71 corridor by dawn Saturday. Some areas just North and West of this corridor will see isolated amounts of 9 inches due to a quicker change over to snow. The cold air will be more shallow as you head South and East of this corridor. Amounts of snow will quickly drop off to near just an inch around Chillicothe. However these places may see ice accumulations of near 0.25 of an inch, significant enough to knock power lines and tree limbs down. Stay tuned for further details.
