It will feel more like March than January around here over the next couple of days. A warming trend begins today amid clearing skies and gusty southwest winds. Wind gust both today and Saturday will range from 30 to 40 mph. It is these winds that will drive mild air from the south and help send temperatures into the lower 40s today and well into the 40s on Saturday. Late Saturday, a shot of arctic air will send Chicago its coldest temperatures in nearly 2 years. The arctic outbreak will last through midweek with the possibility of a couple of bouts of snow showers.
