High pressure will continue to become established off the North Carolina coast this morning which will lead to a southwesterly wind taking over throughout the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas. While scattered cloud cover can be expected through Thursday, winds will increase from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will range from the lower to mid 30's for lows and mid 40's to lower 50's for highs. The warmest conditions will be in place along the coast.
A cold front will attempt to move through the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas on Friday with periods of rain. The cold front will collapse, which will allow warm air to continue to invade the region. Variable to overcast cloud cover can be expected Saturday through Sunday. A far stronger cold front will move through the region on Monday with periods of heavy rain and temperatures rapidly falling in the evening. Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid 40's throughout the region. High temperatures will range from the lower to mid 50's over the interior and mid to upper 50's along the coast.
