Temperatures look good for the Prairie Dog Town Runs

The West Texas Running Club will host the Prairie Dog Town 2-mile and 4-mile races on Saturday, February 9th. Both events begin at 10am at Broadway and Cesar Chavez Drive in Mackenzie Park. Registration is $5 for running club members and children under 13 and $15 for non-members. Online registration runs through Thursday, February 7th at 6pm. There will be no race day registration. Packet pickup is at the race site prior to 9:30am.
The 2-mile course is an out and back course with a slight uphill on the way out. The 4-mile course is an out and back course with one steep hill on the way out. Age minimums are 7 for the 2-mile race and 10 for the 4-mile race.
This is a change in schedule from previous years for the running club, so please note this race has been swapped with the Cotton Patch Runs, which will now be held in March.
These races couldn’t be put on without the help of volunteers, so if you’re not running, your help would be appreciated.
