Telugu movie 'Naayak' collects Rs 28 crores at box-office in two days

The Telugu movie "Naayak" starring Megastar Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja, Amala Paul and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles was released in India and worldwide on Jan 9, 2013.

The movie was released in more than 1600 screens in India. According to reports, it collected around Rs 28.03 crores in two days. The first days collection was Rs 16 crore and Rs 11 crore on the second day.

The hit pair of "Magadheera", Ram Charan and Kajal came together for the second time. The suporting cast is led by Brahmanandam, Ashish Vidyarthi, Raghu Babu, Jayaprakash Reddy, Dev Gill, Rahul Dev, Posani Krishna Murali, Pradeep Rawat, and Rajeev Kanakala.

Music was produced by S.S.Thaman. Superhit song "Subhalekha Rasukunna" from Chiranjeevi's old movie "Kondaveeti Donga" which was composed by Ilaiyaraaja has been remixed for this movie.

IBNLive has rated the movie 2 stars out of 5 calling it a regular commercial fare. The movie being released on festival time is going to help it at box-office.

However with other star studded release “Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu” as competition, it remains to be seen which one scores better at box-office.
